Employee benefits consultancy Secondsight, part of the Foster Denovo group, has appointed award-winning consultant John Dean to lead its health and protection practice.
John, who brings more than 30 years of expertise and experience to the role, takes the helm at Secondsight’s health and protection division just over a year after the business bought Punter Southall’s employee benefits arm, doubling the size of its team with a client roster of 1,500.
His consulting background, leadership, technical knowledge and profile across the industry will help to drive health and protection consulting further forward.
Director of Secondsight, Matthew Mitten, said: “John is bringing his considerable experience in this specialised market to lead health and protection for Secondsight. His deep expertise, extensive knowledge and strategic grasp is second-to-none and we’re very pleased he’s joining us to head the health and protection team as demand for our consulting continues to grow.”
John said: “I’m excited for what the future holds because our shared background is built on delivering solutions for clients and, at the same time, we have always looked how to take health and protection forward.”
The appointment means Anne Drugnick, who has led health and protection throughout the successful integration process, returns to a consulting role.
Matthew added: “ Anne led Secondsight’s health and protection team as part of the successful process to integrate Punter Southall’s employee benefits advisory business over the last year. Having done so, she’s delighted she’s now returning to what she has spent decades excelling at, advising clients on their health and protection needs as the market evolves and demand increases, which is great news for our corporate clients.”
